3DEXPERIENCE Platform
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform is a business experience platform offered both on the cloud or on premise. It solves 2 major issues with traditional local installations. First a single database assures that there is only 1 version of any file with no need to email back and forth. Second, all programs or apps, are integrated and tied into this same database. All of the many Dassault Systèmes solutions are offered on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform with a similar look and feel all powered by the industry leading engineering codes: Catia, Abaqus and many more.
From a practical standpoint a program manager can submit a design change. Multiple designers can be working on the same assembly within a project. The simulation engineer will be notified of the change and the need to update and rerun the model. An automated report can be generated and shared with the team to be used in the next design cycle. All of this is contained within the platform with version control, tracking and breadcrumbs to provide the history of how design decisions were made and why.
